These elements are integral to my work because they are unexplainable by other means. I use the uncanny to play with ones perception of the figure and its potential to create unease. The way we react to and feel about humanness and humanoid figures is wholly unique to other experiences. Seeing and feeling the shape of a human creates a visceral reaction, especially when coupled with ideas of childhood, love, or of experiences that are far in the past.
